QuincyCAN volunteers meet monthly, and our meetings are open to the public. Please attend our next meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday November 12th, 2014 at the Manet Community Health Center at Houghs Neck 1193 Sea Street Quincy, MA 02169
We already have several ongoing projects, but it takes many hands and minds to make an impact. So be prepared to voice your thoughts about reducing energy use and switching to renewable energy. If you can’t come, feel free to email us with your ideas and attend a future meeting.
QCAN Communications Committee meets periodically to work on outreach and education. We launched our first hands-on education program, the Kill a Watt loaner program, in collaboration with Quincy’s Thomas Crane Library, in February 2013.
Many QCAN members also serve on the Mayor’s Climate Change Committee. The committee encourages renewable energy projects in the city and tracks the city’s progress towards meeting its commitment, under the state’s Green Communities Act, to reduce its energy use by 20 percent by July 2016.
